Because Bridges’ on-site group volunteer opportunities are limited, we typically reserve these opportunities for only our community and corporate donors.
If you’d like to become a community or corporate donor, please contact Christina Armstrong, Chief Philanthropic Partnerships Officer, at carmstrong@bridges2.org or 703-525-7177 x127.
If you have questions about volunteering, please contact Celeste McKenzie at cmckenzie@bridges2.org.
Here are other ways groups can get involved to support Bridges to Independence:
HOST A FOOD OR SUPPLY DRIVE
We rely on the generosity of donors to keep our pantry stocked for the families staying in our Sullivan House emergency shelter. Organizing a food or supply drive is as easy as making an announcement, collecting the items, and dropping them off at the shelter. We are always in need of nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, diapers, paper products, toiletries, and SmarTrip cards. Items can also be purchased online via our Amazon Wish List. Please email volunteer@bridges2.org if you are interested in hosting a food drive.
HOST AN EVENT
Organize an event to benefit Bridges and invite your friends and members of the community. Ideas include an alternative giving fair, paper shredding event, rummage sale, or holiday party.
