I have helped with delivering furniture from donors to families in need of furnishings for their new apartments. I have seen families who are Arlington residents that have very little but they are so grateful for the help. These families are in our communities and the need for the assistance is a very real issue that some people might not be aware of. By volunteering with Bridges, I have been able to connect with some other Arlington residents who need some help.
As a U.S. Marine I went halfway around the world to bring aid to people. That was fine, but coming back home I’ve seen that there are citizens right here in Arlington that could use the help. And volunteering with Bridges is a great place to start. Just a few hours of your time a month can make a difference in someone’s life as close by as your own neighborhood.
