Michael Pickett is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice group of Venable LLP, where he counsels clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. These include single-asset and portfolio sales and acquisitions, equity investments, joint ventures, financings for borrowers and lenders, and real estate debt restructurings. Among Michael’s clients are real estate developers, REITs, investors and operators, banks and other financial institutions, and pension and other fund advisers. He previously worked as an asset manager with a DC bank holding company, concentrating on real estate loan workouts, restructures, foreclosures, and bankruptcies.

Michael also previously served on the Board of Directors of, and as President of, AHC Inc. (now Affordable Homes & Communities), a nonprofit low-income housing provider in Arlington, VA.
