Home Run 5K Race
Saturday, September 15, 2018
Please join us for the first annual 5k run, Home Run for the Homeless, presented by three local nonprofit organizations: Bridges to Independence, Community Lodgings and Homestretch. All three provide housing, employment and child care services to families experiencing homelessness in Northern Virginia, and operate primarily in Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County and Falls Church.
This maiden run is set for Saturday, September 15 at 9:00 am at Bluemont Park Shelter, 601 N Manchester St. Arlington, VA 22203. The run will follow the bike trail almost to Falls Church and is limited to 250 registrants. So register early, starting August 1. As we are in favor of safety, please no dogs on the trail run.
5k (18 & over): $40
5k (6-17 year old): $25
Online registration will close on Thursday, September 13 at 8:00 pm (unless it sells out before that time). Register now.
Packet pick up will be on Friday, September 14 at Christ Church in Arlington from 5-7 pm and then on Saturday, September 15 prior to the race at the Bluemont shelter starting at 7:00 am.
Registrants will receive a commemorative short sleeve t-shirt. Be sure to register early, as they are not guaranteed for registrants after September 1.
We are also in need of volunteers. Learn more here.
There will be awards to the overall Male and Female finishers.
